My Letter from Trey Radel regarding his position on Gun Legislation.

Recently I wrote a letter to Congressman Trey Radel, Senator Bill Nelson and Senator Marco Rubio asking them to protect the constituents of their districts by voting to enact "reasonable" gun legislation.

Today, I received this disappointing email response from Congressman Trey Radel.

Dear Mrs. Freeman,

Thank you for contacting me about Second Amendment rights.  I value your input on this important matter and appreciate the opportunity to respond.

As a lifetime member of the NRA, I will support legislation that protects our Second Amendment rights enshrined in the Constitution. Every American's guaranteed right to "keep and bear arms" should not be infringed upon by the Federal government.

Gun control policies fail to recognize that criminals, not guns, are the root cause of crime and violence in America. They also punish law-abiding citizens who want to protect themselves and their families. Recently, I signed on to the Stockman-Broun letter that requests Speaker Boehner not bring any gun legislation to the House floor unless it has majority Republican support.

As legislation regarding Second Amendment rights comes before Congress, I will review it with these principles in mind to protect and defend the Constitution.

QUOTES & MY COMMENTS - Regarding this Letter 

RADEL QUOTES: "I will support legislation that protects our Second Amendment rights enshrined in the Constitution." 

"As legislation regarding Second Amendment rights comes before Congress, I will review it with these principles in mind to protect and defend the Constitution."

MY COMMENTS: First of all... Closing the Loopholes on Background checks (already in place) for all gun purchases is NOT an Infringement of our 2nd Amendment Rights. 

NOW, JUST SO WE'RE CLEAR... Congressman Radel UNEQUIVOCALLY will keep the principals in mind to PROTECT & DEFEND the Constitution, but then last week, he voted YES on the passage of the "CISPA Bill" - Which is DIRECT INFRINGEMENT of our 4th Amendment Rights. 

The 4th Amendment text is as follows: The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

I find it hypocritical that Congressman Radel supports the 2nd Amendment, but NOT the 4th Amendment... Why is that? (Rhetorical) 

I, APRIL FREEMAN support the ENTIRE Constitution of The United States of America!!!!!
